The Soup Kitchen hosted its first foot care clinic, conducted by Jennifer Bosco, RN of Toes on the Go on Tuesday, March 26th. Jennifer donated her time to Soup Kitchen guests in need of foot care, some of whom had family histories of diabetes, making them vulnerable to foot problems. Jennifer provided expert attention to the foot and nail care of five participants. Five more people came but time did not allow them to be seen at the first visit. Due to the popularity of the service, reservations will be available for subsequent foot care clinics. Each session last nearly a half an hour with scrupulous attention paid not only to the nail health but to other foot conditions that were discovered. Those who were seen raved about the quality of care provided. Thank you, Jennifer!
Medical services such as flu shots, blood pressure screenings and other health and wellness activities are part of the overall services that are provided on site to those who use St. Vincent de Paul services.
